As can be seen from the figure below, digital
avionics/aircraft systems are extremely complex--
requiring extensive cross-functional knowledge,
experience, and expertise throughout all phases of
the program. The success of an aircraft development
program, both financially & technically, can
typically be traced back to the success of the
avionics & aircraft system development effort--
most programs that have gone out of control
cost-wise & schedule-wise usually attribute the
situation to avionics & aircraft system(s)
problems-- problems that in most cases could have
been avoided. How do you stack up? Have you done the necessary
front-end Systems Engineering? Are your
requirements complete & correct? Do you have
people qualified to get the job done right? Are
things under control today? Will they be under
control tomorrow? We may be able to help. A detailed block diagram of a Digital
Avionics/Aircraft System is summarized below.
Enjoy. Note: To keep the detail
& maintain the flow, scrolling may be required.
Sorry for any inconveniences.
